Suburban Travel Basketball
Children grades 5-8 will have the opportunity to tryout for the Suburban Basketball Travel League. This league is more competitive than the Recreation Basketball Leagues and will not guarantee playing time. Tryouts will be held in October at designated time slots. MUST PRE-REGISTER ONLINE!

Recreation Basketball (Clinics and Leagues)
Offering Basketball for Children in Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Sunday Clinics (Grades K-2) – Coach Joe from Hardcore Hoops, along with the CGHS Basketball teams and coaching staff, will run this clinic teaching skills, drills and fundamentals of the game, while having FUN!
3rd & 4th Grade Recreation League – Coach Joe from Hardcore Hoops, the CGHS Basketball teams and coaching staff and parent volunteers, will run this league teaching skills, drills and fundamentals of the game, while having fun and have the kids participating in games.
5th-8th Grade Recreation League – This league is run by all volunteer coaches. There will be a workout to pick teams held in the beginning of November at designated times. Kids will have the opportunity to succeed at the game while having FUN!

Girls & Boys Basketball Day
Offering a FREE Basketball Clinic instructed by the Varsity High School Coaches and Players. All participants receive a free t-shirt, if they wear it to the High School Basketball games following the clinic, get free admission! Usually the first Saturday in January. Held at Cedar Grove High School; Girls 8:30-9:45am & Boys 10:00-11:15am. MUST PRE-REGISTER ONLINE!
Children – Grades 3-8
This program will teach your child the basics of wrestling. Coaches will teach skills, fundamentals, agility and strength training in a safe and fun environment. Mandatory items needed; Wrestling Shoes & Head Gear. Children will be separated by skill level; Novice: Athletes in their 1st or 2nd year of wrestling OR Intermediate: Athletes in their 3rd+ year of wrestling.

Indoor Street Hockey clinic provided to teach basic hockey/street hockey skills. Grades K-1 is clinic style where they will practice once a week. Grades 2-6 will practice once a week and have games on Saturdays. This is a Recreation League so we are here for the kids and to have fun! This program will run from beginning of January thru beginning of March. Parent volunteers are needed for this program. Mandatory items needed; hockey helmet, gloves and soccer-style shin guards.

Dr. STEM for Young Engineers
Former elementary STEM teacher, Larry “Doc” Siegel, introduces the Engineering Design Process to young engineers who will build towers, bridges, egg catchers and more. They will collaborate, brainstorm solutions, design, construct, test and present 3D solutions. No child is too young to think like an engineer. After all, it’s about thinking!!! Children – Ages 4 through 5th grade.
This 8 week gross/fine motor skills class for ages 2-4 with their care giver, will include a series of warm ups, across the floor and introduction of a movement theme. Kinetic Kidz is based on the four elements of dance: Body, Space, Time and Force. This class will mentor caregivers on how to incorporate more movement based activities within their toddler’s days. (One care giver per child is required)

What to wear: Comfortable clothes with sneakers. Ballet slippers may also be worn. Creative Movement, is an introduction to dance for pre-school children ages 3-4. The class teaches the basics of self-expression through movement, visualization and audio associations. With the use of props and music, the children will explore the 4 elements of creative dance: body, space, force and time. This class will include a series of warm ups, across the floor and introduction of a movement theme. This class will also enhance balance; coordination, musicality and future develop motor skills.
Children – Ages 3 & 4
This eight week course will introduce the students to acting, singing, and dancing and the world of musical theater. They will focus on learning the terminology of the theater, creating a character, vocalization, creative writing and choreography. For the acting segment of this class, we will focus on improvisation, as we free each actor of their inhibitions. Acting is important for children of all ages, as it strengthens their self-esteem. At the end of the 8 week course we will have an informal showing of the work we have accomplished.

NEW! Golf Clinic
These clinics will teach your child to have fun while learning the fundamentals, etiquette and rules of golf. The first 10 minutes of every practice will be warm-ups, followed by 5 minutes of lesson plan from two professional instructors and the last 45 minutes we will have the kids either working individually or 1 on 1 with a professional. All children must bring a 5 iron or 7 iron of their own to every practice.

Radio City Christmas Spectacular
This trip is limited to the first 45 registrants. The Radio City Christmas Spectacular is a one-of-a-kind celebration for family, friends, and loved ones. Share in the joy with the Rockettes, Santa, the Nutcracker, and the unforgettable Living Nativity. No one does it better than the Radio City Christmas Spectacular! Sunday, November 17th.
Mountain Creek Ski Trips
Four Sunday Trips to Mountain Creek. Registrants will take a bus from Cedar Grove Town Hall with experienced chaperones.
Preference given to 6th-8th grade students (High School students will be permitted if space allows)
